About Telehealth

It may surprise you to learn that telehealth, or remote virtual therapy, has been utilized for years! In fact, research shows that telehealth therapy is just as effective as in-person visits.

Some clients may initially find it awkward to speak with their therapist through a screen, but most appreciate the instant access to support and more consistent sessions because they don’t need to cancel for weather or if there’s heavy traffic.

Save time on your commute and avoid busy waiting rooms - schedule a telehealth session today!

Who Does Telehealth Work For?

Telehealth is effective in treating most issues that bring clients to therapy, including:

  • relationship concerns

  • anxiety or worry

  • sadness or depression

  • sleep difficulties

  • past trauma interfering with daily life

  • irritability or mood swings

  • problems with focus or motivation

If you are experiencing an urgent crisis (e.g., actively suicidal or homicidal), please call 911 or report to your nearest ER for immediate assistance.

Contact us today to see if telehealth is a good fit for you.

Will My Insurance Pay for Telehealth?

Most insurance companies are currently treating telehealth as a regular therapy office visit.

Just as with any new service, we encourage you to call the number on the back of your insurance card to verify your insurance company’s coverage of mental health services via telehealth.

How Does Telehealth Work?

Thrive Psychological Services uses a secure HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform through Simple Practice. With just a few clicks, you’ll be connected to your provider without sacrificing quality or privacy. All you need is a computer, tablet, or smartphone with internet connection!

On the day of your appointment, you will receive a link via email taking you directly to the video session. Click that link a few minutes before your scheduled appointment and you will be connected with your therapist. If you ever have trouble accessing your session, please contact your provider.

Due to licensing regulations, patients must be physically located in the state of Nebraska at the time of service.
